This place totally left me feeling scammed and overcharged. I was told a new patient $79 xray and cleaning. Well $305 later. The place felt dirty with used gloves laying around. I could hardly understand the doctor when she spoke. When the girl took my xray I was concerned about the tool and how clean it was and she showed me the wipes they use. Not thrilled. She was also so rough I had to tell her to be easy and not ram the wand in my mouth. I will not be going back.
I received a past-due bill that contained virtually no identifying information — no explanation of charges, no dates of service, no provider details, and not even the name of the dental practice. The only way I was able to determine the bill was supposedly for me was by searching the return address online. To make matters worse, the bill referenced a dentist I have never even met. When I called for clarification, I was placed on hold for an excessive amount of time before speaking with a receptionist who was dismissive and unnecessarily rude. I was vaguely told the charge was related to a service from September, but when I requested an itemized breakdown of the charges to be mailed or emailed to me, I was told to “call my insurance company” instead. That is completely unacceptable customer service. Patients should not have to investigate mysterious past-due bills on their own or rely on their insurance company to explain charges your office generated. Sending a collection-style bill with no details, no transparency, and no professionalism is incredibly frustrating. Based on this experience, it is unfortunately not surprising to hear there has been significant staff turnover. Clear communication, organization, and respectful treatment of patients should be basic expectations for any medical or dental practice.
Had a good experience with this Smile Design location, as with all of them where I have been a patient. That says a lot coming from me as I have a fear of dentists. Dr. Sheth, help me to feel at ease with every visit. Their dental hygienist, Kris Shan also was very caring when he was working with me. The entire staff from the dental assistants to the front office staff took the time to make sure I relaxed thereby putting my anxiety to rest.
Went in as an emergency in excruciating pain. Haven't slept in 2 days suffering. They refused treatment because I'm 7 weeks pregnant. Although pregnancy guidelines suggest not x-raying for Routine reasons. This is not routine. My health matters too so you turned me away with an active infection and no treatment on a holiday weekend when everything is closed for the next several days. I understand being cautious in situations like a preventive visit but in a dental emergency you need to consider the mother's well being and not send me home with an active infection and no treatment. It could Kill me.
Dental staff was so kind and patient. I dread the dentist but they made the experience so wonderful ! From the front staff to the hygienist and dentist they were all great and so kind !
